As a part-time solo mum of five, life is non-stop. Between work, running a business, managing playgroups, supporting my kids’ sports, and caring for our foster child, I was exhausted, feeling the weight of my busy life and began to feel unhappy about my weight and lack of progress losing it.
Finding Nikayla Lawrence Fitness was the turning point I needed. Her holistic approach showed me she truly understood my challenges. Our initial consult sparked a personalized plan that worked with my life, not against it.
The nutrition plan was simple, flexible, and affordable, allowing me to cook healthy, delicious meals for my whole family—even my little one with food allergies!

I decided to make an appointment with Nikayla Lawrence Fitness when I started having issues with my thyroid after our 3rd baby.
I was adamant I didn’t want to go on medication and was hoping to fix it with food and nutrition.
I felt tired, sluggish and struggled with energy levels, I knew in myself that something wasn’t quite right. Being a busy mum with 3 kids, 4 and under, and running a business I couldn’t afford to be feeling like this all the time….
I went into my first appointment with Nikayla super nervous but with an open mind. I was totally blown away with the knowledge Nikayla offered me in that first session, it was so specific to my needs. I went away feeling pumped with a food plan, a load of vitamins and minerals and a workout I could do at home with the kids.
I literally noticed a difference within days… I felt great, with my energy levels increased I felt like a happier better mum, wife and boss.
I am still breast feeding our 10 month old and I noticed an improvement in his sleep at night, he was more settled and slept for longer (Which was a bonus).
I am only 7 weeks into my plan, and I have already noticed a difference in my body, mind and all round wellbeing. My thyroid levels are also back to normal.

I got in touch with Nikayla Lawrence Fitness in March 2023 after my husband had been working with her husband Brendon for a while.
With a busy family life with two young kids, working full time including traveling for work regularly, and recently diagnosed coeliacs, I had reached the time that I was ready to get some support to look after my health.
Nikayla is amazing! She has provided such fantastic support both in terms of nutrition and fitness and also in overall coaching and support. I feel like I am able to (and I do) let her know how I’m going mentally as well as physically which has been so important in my health journey.
I am nearly 15 kgs lighter than I was in March, but even more importantly is that I feel like me again. I am happier and have recently noticed how much easier it is carry my kids around and to run round with them (not that I am now a runner!)
Nikayla supported me from my level, not from a level that I wasn’t yet at. This meant things like exercise programmes firstly from home and building up to weights, and then when I decided it suited my life to go to the gym, we have moved onto gym programmes.
The reason why Nikayla’s coaching has been so great for me is that she has taught me about real conscious balance. Her regular check ins and positive messages have meant a lot. I have been successful on this journey because of this, including a family holiday in the Gold Coast where we planned our meal prep for some of the time and also had meals out and days at theme parks.

I’ve worked with Nikayla for a number of years, to guide me with nutrition … keeping my weight/body fat down whilst giving me the energy I needed to be in the gym on a regular basis.
There have been some big emotional ups and downs in that time and Nikayla has always been awesome at listening and helping me to identify triggers for unhealthy eating.
A while back Nikayla encouraged a very reluctant me to get on board with a calorie counting approach to my nutrition and I’ve been totally blown away with the results! I never dreamt that, at my age (58), I could look or feel so good. My weight and body fat are at an all-time low, while still maintaining muscle mass and energy levels!
Nikayla Is incredibly supportive and encouraging … she gave me the confidence to try something new, pushed me past my comfort zone, and helped me to believe in myself.
Nikayla’s all-round approach has seen me transform my body completely and I couldn’t be happier. Nikayla is always available to answer questions and has a wealth of knowledge to draw on. I think what I like the most is that we don’t just discuss food … we talk about emotional triggers to eating, supplementation, general health and emotional/spiritual wellbeing, what is happening for me at work and in my personal relationships, etc.
The end result is a very tailored personal approach to where I’m at and what my specific needs are, whilst maintaining a consistent daily foundation of basic routines. There is always a goal moving forward, even if that is just to maintain because that is what my body and mind need at that time.

I've lost almost 10kg, my blood pressure is back to a healthy range and reflux is gone !!
There's no doubt I was getting chubby, hypertensive and had significant reflux. What sort of example is that to set?
I decided after seeing a photo of myself that it was time to reverse a couple things.There was to be no excuses.

"For 44 years now I have had a confused relationship with food that has not entirely been influenced by my eating habits.
Sure, I have tried every diet, nutritional cleansing system but I also have a condition called achalasia that affects my ability to swallow food. I can have good days and extremely bad days that cause me to be able to eat or not at all. With this being said, I have yo-yo’d from looking like I have just had my wisdom teeth out to sunken in cheek bones.
Fortunately, I underwent a procedure this year to help manage my condition and so far, so good. With this now my new normal I had to create a better mindset around what I put in my gob.
